I am not going to lie to you. Today was a bad day. Not bad in like, "Oh, whoa, terrible things happened to me." But bad in like, "Oh, hey, I had Luigi's for dinner. A third piece? SURE!"
Luigi's is the devil.
Also, I think I broke one of the bikes at school.
I did 50 on the treadmill. I was going to do 45, but as I neared 45, the bikes that I like were full and I can't do the elliptical right after the treadmill because THAT IS NOT HOW I DO IT. So I did 5 more minutes and then one of the bikes cleared off, and I took that sucker for a spin. And then all of the other bikes were suddenly empty. My feelings were hurt.
While on the treadmill, I did all kinds of speed and incline switching, and it, again, kicked my ass. I really like it. If I could get that much out of the bike and elliptical, that would be awesome. But resistance is only one variable while speed and incline is two, so...
My goal was 20 on the bike, but at 18 and changed it just stopped. The resistance suddenly went away and the electronics died. Instead of messing around with it, I got up and pretended everything was OK. Oops.
I did the elliptical for 10 minutes and felt pretty dead, so I quit early.
Then someone walked in on me after I was drying off from my shower. I think. I heard a "Sorry," and the curtain flapping, but didn't actually see anyone. So I was unfazed.
Breakfast:
2 servings of Kix with milk (I'm all out of Cheerios Crunch)
2 pieces of Protein Plus toast with fake Smart Balance buttery spread and REAL Strawberry Jam (with sugar! I felt brave, we'll see when I test my blood sugar later. Then again, I had pizza as well, so it could be bad...)
Protein Bar after working out
Lunch:
Buffalo Chicken Wrap with cheese, lettuce, ranch dressing and hot sauce
2 Clausen pickle spears
1 Apple
Dinner:
3, yes 3, pieces of pizza from Luigi's with pepperoni and mushroom
Salad with lettuce, cheese, tomato, radish and Luigi's House Italian
Dessert:
No sugar added ice cream
Pretty sure that this was totally awful for me. But Luigi's pizza is so good... oh my God. Just thinking about it makes me want more. I thought about making a joke about trading one of my kids for Luigi's pizza, but that might be overkill.
Tomorrow I'm going to go back to being good and kill some gym time... (I hate saying stuff like that. I feel like a douche and probably sound like one too. But screw it. I'm that fat guy stinking up your gym now, trying to act like I know what I'm talking about. Deal with it!)

Life is not worth living if you can't eat the things you love once in a while, diet or not diet.
ReplyDeleteI'll buy you a whole Luigi's pizza with any toppings you want in trade for Lilly. Seriously, I'll even throw in some sushi in the deal. ;-)
The #1 most important thing to remember when trying to live a more healthy lifestyle is to make it a realistic one. It is going to be healthier in the long run to lose the weight slowly by allowing yourself some leeway from the beginning than to strictly eat healthy foods until you lose the weight only to then allow yourself to eat some unhealthy foods when your body isn't used to dealing with the additional sugar/fat anymore leading to faster weight gain. Make this a "diet" you will use for the rest of your life and you will lose the weight, but more importantly, you will keep it off. Slow and steady!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, feeling guilty accomplishes nothing. When you do eat bad foods, just figure out what caused you to do it, and try to address it in the future.
Now I'm gonna go try to live by my own words haha.
I totally agree with Jessica.
ReplyDeleteHopefully he will listen to the wonderful advice. Enjoy every bite and don't over-OVER do it and it's all good.
ReplyDeleteAlso Rachel-- HA! No way sucka!
