Day10.

First thing: Bree, I messed around with the incline and speeds while I was working out today and it kicked my ass. In a really, really good way. Good call on that.

Today was not a good day. I didn't feel right for most of the day.

I started by taking Matt to school and finding out that the girl who was going to buy the article that I wrote no longer works for that publication. Which was a giant bummer. But I think they might still pick it up.

I started the car and found out that I needed gas; not a big deal. I got on the highway and the car was vibrating like people wished their sex toys did. On a car, that's not so good. Turns out my tire was most of the way flat. I did not notice this because the car was in 6 inches of snow. Pumped gas and went to the air machine: out of order.

Had to drive to another gas station and fill up, and the tire was so low that it took all of the time that my 75 cents bought me.

Went to school and had to come straight home, instead of hitting the gym, which bummed me out. But Vanessa had errands to run and couldn't run them with the kids, so I came home. Not a big deal.

Started work on dinner while the kids played. Worked like crazy to make an awesome soup only to find out that no one was going to eat it with me. Parents decided to go out to dinner AFTER I told my dad that I was making soup. Which bummed me out and pissed me off. Just a little.

And the day felt really heavy and I felt tired. Matt fighting his dinner and screaming didn't help. Not at all. But Vanessa came home and things brightened up pretty quickly.

I debated paying for a day pass at the Tallmadge Rec but couldn't get motivated enough to go out. Instead I took A Clockwork Orange upstairs and hit the bike for 15 and the treadmill for 40. The first 15 on the treadmill, I did some hand weights on a moderate speed. Then for the last 25 I hit the incline up and down and the speed up and down in 2 and a half minute intervals.

It seriously kicked the shit out of me. Awesomely. Good call Bree, for real.

Breakfast:
2 servings of Cheerios Crunch with milk
2 pieces of Protein Plus toast with peanut butter on one piece, fake, sugar free honey on the other and half a banana sliced and sandwiched it

2 glasses of water

Lunch:
Ham and turkey wrap with cheese, lettuce and mustard
A bunch of carrots
2 Clausen pickle spears
1 Cherry Dannon Yogurt

Dinner:
Homemade soup with beans, corn and chicken
I started by sauteing an onion, a green pepper, a couple celery stocks and some carrots for a few minutes. I put a big thing of chicken stock on to heat up, added 1 beef bouillon cube and 1 chicken bouillon cube plus 6 cups of water. After the veggies were soft, I dumped them into the stock. Seasoned with salt, pepper, dried cilantro, a few red pepper flakes, cumin, curry powder and garlic salt.
I let it simmer for about 45 minutes before I pulled all of those veggies out and dumped them in a blender with a couple ladles of broth and some water and pureed the crap out of it. Dumped it back in to the remaining broth. Added 3 cans of great white beans, 2 cans of corn and 3 chicken breasts which were cut into small chunks and sauteed. Simmered for another hour or so.
Fricking awesome.
2 small chunks of bread (which sucked and were not worth it)
