Day 20.

Today was Matt's birthday party. And it was pretty successful, I think. Sure, he woke up from his nap in a crappy mood and screamed his head off for about 45 minutes but he eventually came around.

The coolest thing was the Yo Gabba Gabba cake. It was seriously awesome. The layer of frosting on it was intense. Matt certainly enjoyed it. And the olives. That was his entire dinner. He's 2. And, given his mood, I'm stoked that he ate anything.

Both he and Lilly are sick. There might have to be a doctor's visit this week. I hate when the kiddos are sick. It makes me feel bad.

But, in between getting ready for the party, Vanessa and I hit the Rec and I did 30 minutes on the Eliptibike and then a bunch of weight stuff on machines but also with free weights. I feel like we worked every muscle possible, but Vanessa would probably argue that. I definitely feel more comfortable with the weight machines at the Rec. The stuff at Youngstown isn't familiar looking and there are way more people around, which I don't like.

We'll see though. Apparently if I don't do some weight training as well I'll end up being one of those skinny people that looks like they should be a fat person. And I'd like to look like a healthy person. So. Weight training too, now. Yaaay.

That was sarcasm.

I didn't eat super well today, but it was a party day. I prepped for the cake by taking an extra ActoplusMet pill for my Diabetes. Doctor said that this was OK to do. We talked about upping the dose to three a day anyway, but we decided to hold off for whatever reason. We actually means He. I just go along with what he says.

Breakfast:
2 servings of Kix with milk
2 pieces of Whole Wheat toast with butter and jelly
1/2 a banana

Lunch:
1/2 of a turkey, ham and cheese sandwich on Sour Dough with cheese and mustard

Dinner:
1 burger with onions, pickles, cheese and hot sauce
1 hot dog with mustard, onions and baked beans
Mac N Cheese
a bunch of random veggies
random chips
1 glass of Fresca

1 piece of cake with some No Sugar Added Butter Pecan Ice Cream

Also, a cup of Weight Watchers Cherry Cheesecake yogurt.

Does anyone want to pay for me to get a membership at the Rec? Please?

  1. You Rock!!! You can do it, just put on some music and get in the zone or watch tv. =) Get a workout buddy and workout in the morning before work you'll burn more calories throughout the day and you'll be half asleep so you won't even remember that you worked out =), great way to start your day. Keep up the good work and the cake sounds delish.
